Branding: Minimal & Bright

Alright, here is your final brand board! I will be working on exporting the final brand package for you today.

So excited where everything landed!!

Color Palette: Green & Sorbet

Ok, girl, the purple is officially OUT! For this one, I took the green you liked and added it to the Sorbet color palette. This one also has a light teal blue that just reminds me of a color you would see in bright white kitchens.

I did a few mock ups below so you could see the colors on a few different backgrounds and in different ways.

Ok, I want to start putting together a moodboard for the photoshoot and to start planning a few things out. I want to wait to schedule this until we have some more of the brand nailed down but it is good to start preparing now since this will be a pretty intense shoot.

STYLE: Bright white with pops of color.

GOAL: Have dozens of beautiful images to use throughout Celebration Nutrition's website, collateral and social media that match the chosen final brand feel and color palette.

PROPS: Props are going to be one of the biggest ways to bring in the color palette through the photos. Wait until the color palette is completely nailed down then start to find items that we can use for the shoot. I recommend clothing and most materials be neutral with a few brightly colored elements throughout. All of these items should be visually appealing down to the whisk. You can ask friends/family to borrow items if you don't have them or aren't able to purchase them. Definitely important that each item photographs well! Again, I recommend MOST are neutral (metal, wood, or white) and the pops of color should be as close to the final color palette as possible.

  • Bowls

  • Cutting boards (great way to bring in textures - maybe wood or marble)

  • Cooking Utensils (whisk, sifter, strainer)

  • Prepping utensils (measuring cups and spoons)

  • Apron

  • Towels

  • Jars

  • Flowers (not necessary but a beautiful element to bring into the kitchen)

FOOD: It would be good to have a variety of foods and dishes to photograph. Think of dishes that will fit your brand that will also be visually appealing. For each dish, have the phases ready. 1. Ingredients 2. Being prepared 3. Final prepared dish. You won't want to actually be cooking on set so to have everything in phases will be ideal.

CLOTHING: Bring a few outfit options. We may do a different outfit for each dish - that way it looks like three different photoshoots for the three different dishes. Also, an apron would be great if thats something you use often. I recommend your clothing be neutral. You want the viewer to be focused on the dishes, ingredients, etc and not what you are wearing. Even if you usually use a brightly colored apron, I would recommend something neutral. (Linen for texture, light grey, white). Also might be good to have backups incase things get messy. You don't want to have a blob of green on a white shirt for all the photos.

APPERANCE: This is a great excuse to get a manicure! Make sure to do your hair, make up and nails. Even if these are things you don't normally do, in a bright white kitchen, people tend to be washed out so having some color on your eyes, cheeks and lips will help. Again, I recommend staying neutral/natural tones so the focus is on the food and not your make up ;)

INSPIRATION: These images aren't ideal to what is in my mind but they are the best I can find for now. We can collect more and start to refine them. We will use these as inspiration for the photoshoot and I will work closely with the photographer to make sure your vision is realized!
